“Emily” by Christian Louboutin are a modern take on Victorian button-up boots, and with their concealed platform and 5″ stiletto heel they embody Louboutin’s trademark sensuality.

Available for pre-order exclusively at Net-A-Porter for £520.00, it’ll take a lottery win before I can buy myself a pair of these red-soled beauties. Still a girl can dream.

A little less extravagant, but still beyond my price range are these super-cute pearlised platform pumps from Marni.

I’m so glad to see the rounded toe back at last, I’ve never been a fan of the sharp, pointy looks we’ve been awash with for what seems an eternity.

The chunky platform contrasts with the stiletto heel without looking out of place.

If I could spare £286 I’d place my order with Net-A-Porter without hesitation.
